The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Committee recommended the Sanctuary consider boundary expansion to include other reefs and banks in the Northwestern Gulf of Mexico. This shapefile represents the boundaries recommended by the Sanctuary Advisory Committee to the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary, and include the East and West Flower Garden Banks, Stetson Bank, Horseshoe Bank, MacNeil Bank, Rankin Bank, 28 Fathom Bank, Bright Bank, Geyer Bank, McGrail Bank, Sonnier Bank, and Alderdice Bank. This shapefile provides general location information about the areas being considered for boundary expansion, as recommended by the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Committee.
